Start with the right setup

You can join from a phone, tablet, or laptop/desktop with a working camera and microphone. Use a current, updated browser: Safari on Apple devices and Chrome on Android or desktop are recommended.

When your appointment is confirmed, keep the secure confirmation link handy. You will click that link at visit time; no app download is required. An updated browser and a few minutes of preparation help keep the visit focused on you.

Test your camera + microphone

Press start when you’re ready. Your browser will ask for permission, then show a live preview and a microphone indicator while you speak. Nothing is recorded, uploaded, or saved.

Ready when you are. Your camera and microphone stay in this browser.

If the test can’t start

  1. Choose Allow when Chrome or Safari asks for camera and microphone access.
  2. If you previously blocked access, open the lock or site-settings icon beside the address bar and set Camera and Microphone to Allow, then reload. In Safari, use Safari > Settings for This Website.
  3. Close another app that may be using the camera or microphone and try again.

02 · Connection & Space

Small details that make
video feel human

02
Give your Wi-Fi some room
Aim for at least 5 Mbps download and 3 Mbps upload. That is a practical target, not a guarantee: stability matters just as much as the number. Pause streaming or large downloads, and move closer to your router if the connection feels uncertain. Run a browser speed test →
03
Set the scene for care
Face a light source rather than sitting with a bright window behind you. Place the camera at eye level on a stable surface. Choose a quiet, private, uncluttered background; headphones can help if you notice an echo.

Five-Minute Rehearsal

Check the little things,
then exhale

Use this quick checklist just before your visit. The checkboxes stay on this device only and do not submit patient information.

You do not need to be perfect. If something changes during the visit, tell Dr. Joseph and you can adjust together.
